Slams HP Board for Result Errors
Mandi, May 22, 2025 – Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, while addressing the district-level workshop of the Trishatabdi Smriti Abhiyan in Balh, praised the legacy of Ahilyabai Holkar, calling her a symbol of social harmony, justice, and Sanatan values. He said her life is an inspiration for the youth and a beacon of women empowerment in Indian history.
Highlighting her role as a wise administrator and cultural reformer, Thakur noted her contributions to temple restoration, education, and social reforms like widow remarriage and women’s rights during the 18th century.
Thakur also lauded the Centre’s efforts towards women empowerment, citing Operation Sindoor as an example of the rising role of women in the armed forces. He praised the Indian Army’s retaliation after the Pahalgam terror attack and the successful deployment of BrahMos missiles.
He also participated in the ‘Sindoor Yatra’ honouring Indian soldiers and accompanied Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on a visit to Shikari Devi temple and nearby sites.
Thakur criticized the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board for errors in recently declared results, citing a suicide attempt by a student mislabelled as failed. He demanded accountability from the state government, stating such negligence can’t be dismissed as human error.
