1 min read

Una, August 12: Leader of the Opposition, Jairam Thakur, visited the flood-affected Bathri area in Una to assess the extensive damage caused by the recent flooding. The flood has resulted in significant losses to fertile land, commercial properties, and residential buildings. Thakur expressed his condolences to the affected families and urged the state government to provide immediate relief. He raised concerns about the extent of the devastation despite the lack of heavy rainfall or landslides and called for an investigation to determine the causes of the disaster.

During his visit to Lower Dehla village, Thakur also met with the family of Surjeet, who lost his life in a flood-related incident at the Jenjo Khad. He extended his sympathies and urged the residents of Himachal Pradesh to remain vigilant and cautious around fast-flowing rivers and streams.
