Jai Ram Thakur Meets Veteran Leader Shanta Kumar in Palampur

Palampur/Dharamshala, March 13, 2026: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur met senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar at his residence in Palampur during his Kangra visit.

During the courtesy meeting, the two leaders discussed the current political situation in Himachal Pradesh and other key issues. Thakur praised Shanta Kumar’s long political experience, simplicity and commitment to public service, calling him an inspiration for party workers.

Later, Thakur reached Dharamshala, where BJP leaders and workers welcomed him warmly. His Kangra tour is being seen as politically significant as he continues interactions with party workers regarding upcoming organisational activities.
