Shimla, March 4: The Revenue Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jagat Singh Negi, expressed strong disapproval in response to the statement by the BJP declaring the Congress government in the state as unstable.
He stated that the BJP has become the most shameless party in the world, specifically targeting the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Negi mentioned that if the government in the state were unstable, the BJP wouldn’t have tolerated him for so long. He further commented on Jai Ram Thakur’s constant travel between Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla, implying instability.
Negi emphasized that the Congress government is stable with a majority, contrasting it with the BJP, which lacks a majority. He accused the BJP of resorting to tactics to destabilize the government. Referring to the recent expulsion of six individuals and subsequent legal challenges, he criticized the BJP’s approach.
The Revenue Minister accused the BJP of orchestrating a conspiracy to topple the government by first expelling six people and then approaching the Supreme Court. He labeled the BJP as the most shameless party globally and Jai Ram Thakur as its biggest shameless leader.
Regarding the dissenting MLAs, Negi suggested that if they had any complaints against the Congress government or the Chief Minister, they should voice them within the party’s framework. He questioned the logic behind approaching the Supreme Court, especially by those who were expelled by the Congress.
He reiterated that if the BJP had a majority, it could have toppled the government through a no-confidence motion. However, he criticized the BJP for resorting to underhanded tactics and labeled them as shameless.
While discussing the return of the rebel MLAs, Negi mentioned that possibilities in politics are ever-changing, and friendships and enmities can shift unexpectedly. He emphasized that in politics, one cannot predict when an enemy might become a friend or vice versa.
Addressing the discontent during the cabinet meeting, Jagat Negi clarified that he was not upset with anyone and had a prior commitment related to nuclear energy, which led to his absence. He expressed his distress over false news circulating on various portals, affecting his reputation. Negi asserted that he is taking legal action against those spreading misinformation and tarnishing his image.
