International literary meet from tomorrow

The Department of English and School of Liberal Arts is all set to host the 21st International Conference, in collaboration with the Society for the Study of the Multi-Ethnic Literatures of the World (MELOW), from Friday.
The conference will see participation from 14 countries and various states of India with approximately 100 delegates and 75 paper presentations over the course of three days.
MELOW is an academic association, one of the foremost of its kind, that has been organising international conferences since 1998 and this is their 21st edition. This year’s theme is “Illness, healing and the literary imagination” based on pandemic, disease, isolation, loneliness, vulnerability, regeneration, and hope.
Mrs. Saroj Khosla, President, Foundation for Life Sciences and Business Management, will preside over the inaugural session as the chief guest and the keynote address will be delivered by Prof Rajeshwari Pandharipande from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA.
The opening session will also witness the book launch of Prof Manju Jaidka’s latest novel, Gumshoe Mania. Prof Jaidka is a creative writer and established academician and currently serving as the Head of School of Liberal Arts at Shoolini University, and President of MELOW.
