International Conference Concludes at APG Shimla University and HFRI
1 min readShimla Nov 11: The three-day international conference, “Challenges of the Contemporary World – 2024,” organized by Himachal Pradesh Forest Research Institute (HFRI) in collaboration with APG Shimla University, concluded successfully. The event, held from November 8-10, focused on climate change, global health crises, sustainable development, green research, and research ethics. Over 200 participants attended both online and offline.
An essay competition for school and college students was also held, highlighting contemporary issues. Winners Ritika Sharma, Shilpa Thakur, and Zarina Lamare received special recognition.
In the closing ceremony, APG Shimla University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajinder Singh Chauhan, awarded the winners and emphasized collaborative research’s importance. Conference Coordinator Prof. Dr. Maninder Kaur stressed that such competitions raise awareness and foster creativity among students.
