Initiative to provide free education to migrant children
1 min readDharamshala, Nov 11 – Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, “PAHAL” program was started under the Social Work Department of the Himachal Pradesh Central University. Under the chairmanship of department head Dr. Shashi Poonam, this program is to provide free education to the children of migrant laborers who are in the age group of 6 to 14 years residing in Sanot village of Dehra tehsil, which has been included under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
Pooja Awasthi PRO CUHP told UNI that a program was launched for PAHAL with Prays now for every unique goal. The main objective of which was initiated by the students of Social Work Department regarding free education, physical-mental development, cleanliness etc. to the children of migrant laborers.
The chief guest in the program was Dr. Sanjit Singh, Chairman, Department of Economics and Prof. Ashutosh Pradhan, Dr. Ambreen Jamali, Dr. Shabab Ahmed, Dr. Shweta Sharma and Dr. Digvijay Phukan along with the permanent members of the village Dilbagh, Ashok, Sunny was present.
