Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team Dominates South Korea with a 56-22
1 min readIn a dominating performance, the Indian women’s kabaddi team, led by captain Ritu Negi from Himachal Pradesh, defeated South Korea with a massive margin of 56-22 during the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The Indian team secured its first victory in Pool A.
Notably, the Indian team managed to execute five all-outs against South Korea throughout the match. The Indian women’s team took an early lead, quickly amassing an 11-2 advantage, and continued to maintain their dominance. By the end of the first half, they had extended their lead to 22-8. The Indian team didn’t let up and executed another all-out, taking the score to 32-9. This dominant performance resulted in India securing a comprehensive victory against South Korea.
All the players from Himachal Pradesh who were part of the team contributed to this impressive win. Sushma Sharma from Solan and Nidhi Sharma from Bilaspur also played pivotal roles in the match. It’s important to note that this was India’s first match in the Taipe format during the competition.
The Indian women’s kabaddi team’s next challenge is against Thailand on Wednesday.
