Solan, Dec 2 – The annual Institutions Innovation Council (ICC) awards are out, and Shoolini University’s Council has been awarded a full 4-star rating. The Union Ministry of Education released the latest rankings today.

With this, Shoolni University has become the only university in Himachal Pradesh to secure the top rank, leaving all other private universities of the state behind. Shoolini Innovation Council is a completely student-run organisation with the primary mandate to encourage, inspire and nurture young students.

Dr Kamal Kant Vashisht, Director e-learning and IIC Convenor, Shoolini University, said IIC Shoolini had received one-star rating in the year 2018-19 and has now achieved the highest 4 stars rating for 2019-20.

He said IIC mainly focuses on innovation-inspired entrepreneurship, collaborative leadership, research, and development to support young minds to work with new ideas in their formative years.

Chancellor Prof PK Khosla said it was a matter of immense pride that Shoolini University was among 70 universities in the country to have received four-star rankings and among only 10 private universities who had scored the four-star rankings among all private universities in the Northwest region.

Prof Atul Khosla, Vice-chancellor, Shoolini University, congratulated the entire IIC team and said it “again proves that Shoolini is the best university in Himachal Pradesh and one of the few from India with full four stars”.
