IEC University to Introduce Skill-Based Courses in BBN to Empower Himachali Youth

1 min read

Solan, July 9, 2025 – In a major initiative to bridge the skill gap between education and industry in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) industrial hub, IEC University, Atal Shiksha Kunj, has partnered with JDK Education Society to introduce job-oriented skill development courses under the “Nirbhar Kaushal” initiative.

These specialized programs aim to equip local youth with industry-relevant skills, enhancing their employability within Himachal Pradesh itself. The courses will also help improve the productivity of local industries and promote entrepreneurship and self-employment through mentorship opportunities.

IEC University, known for its commitment to quality education and innovation, envisions this partnership as a transformative step towards sustainable development in the region. The initiative aligns with the state’s vision to create a skilled workforce that meets industrial demands while curbing youth migration in search of employment.

By providing certification-based training tailored to BBN’s industrial landscape, this collaborative effort is expected to not only offer better job prospects to the region’s youth but also strengthen the local economy.
