IAS Probationers of 2025 Batch Call on Shimla Deputy Commissioner

Shimla, March 19, 2026: A group of IAS probationers of the 2025 batch called on Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap during their ongoing winter study tour. The DC welcomed and honoured the officers with traditional shawls and Himachali caps, wishing them a bright future. The probationers also presented a memento to the DC.
Notably, a team of officers from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie is on a study tour to Shimla from March 17 to 22, visiting key institutions such as the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Central Potato Research Institute, IGMC Shimla, and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Jakhoo.
The Deputy Commissioner advised the officers to visit the Child Care Institution (CCI) Mashobra to understand the state government’s flagship Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana, under which orphaned and destitute children are provided full support and recognised as “Children of the State.”
He also informed them about the upcoming state budget presentation for 2026–27 on March 21 by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, encouraging them to attend the Assembly session.
Kashyap emphasized that the study tour would offer the officers valuable field exposure to welfare schemes, fostering empathy towards vulnerable sections of society they will serve in the future.
Tehsil Welfare Officer Surender Bimta, designated as the nodal officer, was also present.
