HPTDC Strengthens Industry Ties at OTM Mumbai to Boost Himachal Tourism

Shimla/Mumbai Jan 31 : The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) participated in the Outbound Tourism Mart (OTM) Mumbai, one of India’s largest travel trade exhibitions, under the leadership of Dr. Rajiv Kumar, MD, HPTDC. The delegation included Dr. Anil Kumar (DGM, HPTDC), Mr. Ravinder Sandhu (AGM, Holiday Home), Mr. Varun Dhiman (AGM, HPTDC), Mr. Vikram Chauhan (TIO, Department of Tourism, HP), and Mr. Mahender Chauhan (Himachal Bhawan, Chandigarh).
The session highlighted Maharashtra as a key source market for Himachal tourism, attracting active participation from travel partners in Mumbai and Pune. Discussions focused on promoting HPTDC hotels, commission-based incentives for agents, curated tour packages, and adventure tourism opportunities like trekking, rafting, paragliding, and skiing.
To enhance communication, a WhatsApp group was created for quick exchange of information and trade suggestions. Proposed new tour circuits include Delhi/Chandigarh – Shimla – Kullu – Manali – Chandigarh and Delhi/Chandigarh – Dharamshala – Dalhousie – Chandigarh.
Dr. Rajiv Kumar assured that all recommendations would be evaluated for implementation, reinforcing HPTDC’s commitment to industry partnerships and customer satisfaction.
