HPTDC hotels to offer 40 pc discount

Shimla, Jan 21 – Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation(HPTDC) decided to offer a 40 percent discount on all hotel units to attract high-end Tourists to enjoy the Winter session. The spokesperson of HPTDC said all 55 hotels would provide 40 percent discount for booking its properties for Winter stay here, moreover, this special package will be available till March 31.
HPTDC had offered a special discount of 20 percent in view of snowfall, the package has now been extended to 40 pc. Tourists could avail of this facility for food and stay. Tourists who are planning to go to the mountains with the desire to see snowfall and searching for bookings in any hotel should book for HPTDC as online booking is already available.
Tourists could choose their favorite hotels by visiting HPTDC’s site to get better facilities at lower prices. According to an HPTDC spokesperson, maximum booking is being done in those hotels in the state where snowfall is taking place. Every year state witnesses footfall of around 1.50 Cr tourists who prefer to visit the state in the summer and winter seasons, moreover weekend tourism is emerging as a strong trend in the state.
With the improvement of air, rail and road connectivity, especially Four laning and widening of NH, hospitality is shining in the hill state. According to the state Economic Survey, the state is generating 9 to10 percent of the state GDP through tourism. An increasing number of people are getting employment in tourism related activities.
