HPNLU, Shimla Awarded Shri B.R. Ambedkar Grant for Legal Aid & Awareness

Shimla, August 26, 2025 – Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, has been selected for the prestigious Shri B.R. Ambedkar Grant for Legal Aid and Awareness under the Vidhi Vimarsh initiative. HPNLU is among a select group of institutions chosen from over 30 participating law schools across India to receive this recognition.

This achievement comes under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, with crucial contributions from the Legal Aid Clinic, chaired by Dr. Chandreshwari Minhas. The grant acknowledges HPNLU’s efforts in advancing legal aid, community outreach, and legal awareness.

The Vidhi Vimarsh initiative aims to strengthen legal aid frameworks nationwide and promote accessible justice. With this grant, HPNLU will expand its legal aid projects, community engagement drives, and innovative models for legal literacy, in line with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of social justice.
