HPNLU Hosts ‘Aarohan-2024’ Orientation Programme for New Students

Shimla, August 1, 2024 — The Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) organized ‘Aarohan-2024’, an orientation programme for newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students. The event, attended by over 200 students, featured Hon’ble Justice C. B. Barowalia, Lokayukta of H.P., as the Chief Guest. Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh, Pro-Chancellor of IILM University, Gurugram, presided over the programme, with Prof. (Dr.) P. S. Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor of SRM University, serving as the Guest of Honour. The programme was led by Prof. (Dr.) Chanchal Kr. Singh, Vice-Chancellor (officiating) of HPNLU.
Justice Barowalia emphasized the noble nature of the legal profession and urged students to value their time and maintain discipline during their studies. Prof. Singh highlighted the transformative power of the legal profession, sharing inspiring stories from his experience. Prof. Jaswal encouraged students to focus on gaining knowledge rather than just information, noting that true understanding is essential for a fruitful career in law.
Prof. Chanchal Kr. Singh welcomed the students and outlined the course structure, urging them to utilize the well-equipped library. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Jaswal, Registrar of HPNLU.
