Dharamshala, August 18 – Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has decided to print textbooks on fresh paper made from first-use wood pulp, instead of recycled paper. This move aims to reduce chemical content in books, ensuring safer use for students. Every year, HPBOSE prints over 200 subject textbooks from Classes 1 to 12, used by lakhs of students across the state. Though the initiative increases printing costs, it is expected to benefit students’ health.
