HP Technical University to open off campus in Palampur

Hamirpur , July 28 – HP Technical University has decided to open an off-campus campus of the University at Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra College, Palampur, a statement said on today.
At the 31st meeting of the Academic Council (AC) of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Shashi Kumar Dhiman, it was proposed to open an off-campus of the Technical University at Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra College, Palampur. Technical University has a proposal to start engineering courses off-campus, which will now be sent for the approval of the state government, the release added.
Along with this, the proposal to start PhD programmes in state engineering colleges was also discussed, for which approval was given to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the Dean of Academics.
The Academic Council also approved the new syllabus for various subjects that have been passed by the Board of Studies. The Vice Chancellor said that the new syllabus for all engineering, pharmacy, and other undergraduate and postgraduate subjects has been prepared in accordance with the National Education Policy-2020. In which a provision has been made to do a four-year integrated degree, in which the Indian knowledge system is also specially included.
