Shimla, August 08: The state of Himachal Pradesh has incurred a loss of 8 billion rupees due to the monsoon rains. The Industrial Department alone has suffered a loss of 300 crore rupees. More damage has been caused to roads and bridges in the Badhi-Nalagarh region. Continuous rainfall has disrupted normal life in the BBN (Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh) area. Due to the damage to Mandaawala, Charnia, and Balad bridges in the Haryana section of National Highway-105, all roads connecting Badhi and Nalagarh have been severed.

This information was conveyed by the Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan. He mentioned that the Industrial Department has also suffered significant losses due to the rainfall, and he will request a special relief package from the Central Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi. Additionally, a demand has been made to the Haryana government for the repair and restoration of roads and bridges.

Supporting the complaints regarding the construction carried out by NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) in Kothahi, raised by Tikender Panwar, he stated that the cutting of hills was not done as required. In this context, the questions raised by Tikender Panwar regarding NHAI cannot be considered unfounded. CPI M leader Tikender Panwar has filed a complaint against NHAI.
