HP logs 73 Covid cases, zero deaths
2 min readDharamshala, Mar 23 – The number of fresh Covid-19 cases in the state detected during the last 24 hours has further gone and 73 fresh cases tested positive on Thursday for the lethal novel Cornelius, in Himachal Pradesh pushing the Himachal Pradesh state caseload to 313239.
Among the fresh cases, 22 is the highest number in the state from Mandi district followed by 16 in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.
A spokesman of the Health Department told UNI that all the 73 fresh cases who have tested positive today have been isolated as per the protocol. He said among the fresh Covid cases 22 are from Mandi, 16 from Shimla, 12 from Kangra, 9 from Solan, 5 from Hamirpur, 3 each from Chamba and Kullu districts besides 2 from Vikaspuri and 1 from Sirmour.
The spokesman said that today there was no Covid death reported from any part of this hill state thus the death toll remained stagnant at 4194.
He said that the number of active cases has further gone to 285 today against 232 on Wednesday. He said that the number of Active cases included
60 from Solan, 70 from Mandi,
50 from Shimla, 37 from Kàngra, 14 each from Hamirpur and Sirmour, 10 from Chamba, 8 from Kinnour and 9 from Kullu, districts of this hill state.
The sources told UNI that there were 20 recoveries today in the state, thus keeping the number of recovered patients at 308739 today.
He said that there were 843 samples collected today for testing.
He said that on Thursday 4 COVID 19 patients were admitted to different hospitals in this hill state against 3 on Wednesday however the number of active admissions has remained at 4 and the total admissions have gone to 10 and no Covid 19 patient was discharged after getting cured from any hospital of the state.
