HP Govt Stands With Victims in This Difficult Time: Vikramaditya Singh

Solan/Arki, Jan 14, 2026: Himachal Pradesh PWD and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh visited Arki (Solan district) to review relief and rescue operations at the site of the recent fire incident. He interacted with affected families and directed officials to ensure proper support and assistance.
The minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property in Arki market, calling it a historic place and said such an incident is extremely unfortunate. He stated that immediate relief has already been provided, and the government remains committed to offering further help wherever possible.
Vikramaditya Singh also discussed details of the incident and rescue work with the local administration and response teams. He stressed the need for precautionary measures and better emergency preparedness planning to prevent such incidents in the future.
He appreciated the bravery of local youth who helped in firefighting efforts. The minister added that ₹11 crore under AMRUT 2.0 has been approved for Arki city, under which hydrants will also be installed to help during emergencies.
