Hockey National Player Achieves Top Rank in Political Science Postgraduate Exam

Nahan, September 22, : During her school years, national-level hockey player Srishti Sharma secured the top rank in the postgraduate examination in political science in the entire state. Srishti received this news herself when she received a letter from the university (HPU) regarding this achievement. Srishti Sharma, a student at Paonta Sahib Degree College, completed her bachelor’s degree in Dehradun.

Born to Jagatram Sharma and Sunita Sharma in Nahan, Srishti opted to study for her master’s degree in Paonta Sahib Degree College. Srishti secured the top position in the state by obtaining 1224 out of 1600 marks in the 2021-22 batch. Srishti, whose parents are farmers, revealed that she learned about this from the university’s letter. The letter requested a passport-sized photograph so that it could be included in the annual report.

Based on the marks obtained in all four semesters, Himachal Pradesh University has declared Srishti Sharma as the state topper in political science. Srishti expressed her desire to continue her further studies in the same subject. If everything goes well, she intends to pursue a Ph.D. Srishti also mentioned that she is preparing for competitive exams alongside her college studies.

Meanwhile, Srishti’s uncle, Sohan Sharma, expressed pride in his niece’s achievements. He noted that she has been an outstanding player in hockey since her childhood and has represented the nation at the national level.

In addition to bringing happiness to the entire region, Srishti’s success has also been celebrated at Paonta Sahib Degree College. The college staff congratulated Srishti on her remarkable achievement.
