Himcare Scheme Beneficiaries Included in Ayushman Bharat Yojana,” Says Dr. Ajay Pathak

Nahan, November 17: Dr. Ajay Pathak, Chief Medical Officer of Sirmaur, informed that the Himachal Pradesh government has included selected families under the Himcare scheme in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This inclusion applies to 15,916 families in the Sirmaur district.
The Chief Medical Officer appealed to all the selected beneficiaries under the scheme to promptly obtain their health cards. This step is crucial to ensure that all eligible families in the district can avail themselves of the benefits of various health schemes. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana provides for a health insurance coverage of Rs. 5 lakhs per family annually.
Dr. Pathak explained that families selected under various surveys conducted by the Indian government, including the 2011 Social-Economic Caste Census and the National Health Insurance Scheme for the years 2014-2015, are included in this scheme. Additionally, families selected under the Chief Minister’s Himkeyar scheme are also eligible. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana covers 1,800 different types of diseases, including serious illnesses.
Under this scheme, there will be no expenses incurred for hospitalization up to Rs. 5 lakhs, and a patient must be admitted to the hospital for a minimum of 24 hours to avail themselves of the benefits. Individuals can dial 145-55 for information or visit a service center to inquire about the scheme. Eligible families can also create their Ayushman Bharat health cards through the Ayushman app on their mobile phones.
Dr. Ajay Pathak mentioned that a total of 32,935 cards have been issued in the Sirmaur district, covering 1,02,464 registered individuals. He urged all selected families to ensure they have their Ayushman cards to avoid any inconvenience during times of need.
