HIMCARE Card Registration Begins in Mandi

Mandi, September 4 – Medical Superintendent of Regional Hospital Mandi, Dr. Dinesh Thakur, informed that registration under the Himachal Pradesh Government’s *HIMCARE Scheme* has started for eligible families not covered under Ayushman Bharat.
Under the scheme, registered beneficiaries will receive cashless treatment of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year at empanelled hospitals within the state.
Dr. Thakur said that eligible categories include BPL families (not covered under Ayushman Bharat), registered street vendors, MGNREGA workers with at least 50 working days in the last or current financial year, orphan children, single women, persons with more than 40% disability, mid-day meal workers, daily wagers, part-time/contract/outsource employees, as well as retired employees and pensioners. Premium charges range from zero to ₹1000, depending on the category.
For registration, beneficiaries must provide documents such as BPL certificate, disability certificate (over 40%), MGNREGA MIS report for 50 days of work, age proof, and other required papers. Dr. Thakur urged eligible families to register promptly to avail the benefits. Registrations are conducted four times a year – in March, June, September, and December.
