With the onset of the winter tourist season, Durga Puja, and Dussehra, thousands of tourists flock to Shimla in October. The revival of railway services is expected to boost tourism, and Shimla’s tourism business is likely to gain momentum. Durga Puja will commence on October 15, attracting pilgrims from Bengal, who visit Kali Bari in Shimla, the Hatu Temple in Narkanda, and the Bhimakali Temple in Rampur Sarahan. Most of these visitors prefer to travel to Shimla via railway routes. The resumption of railway services will provide relief to tourists, and the increased footfall is expected to benefit the tourism industry.
