Himachal Will Overcome Financial Crisis, Says Vikramaditya Singh

Shimla, Feb 11: Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh inaugurated a Mahila Mandal Bhawan at Jabri in Bathmana Panchayat under Shimla Rural constituency, emphasizing financial discipline amid the state’s economic challenges. Addressing a public gathering, he said Himachal Pradesh will emerge stronger despite the crisis and highlighted the role of women in strengthening the rural economy through initiatives like the Him Ira brand. The ₹3.5 lakh facility aims to support women’s livelihood activities.
The minister also shared updates on regional development, including strengthening health infrastructure, expanding water supply schemes worth ₹25 crore, improving irrigation projects, and plans for a sports ground and gym facilities. He urged citizens to support anti-drug efforts by informing police about narcotics activities, stressing youth safety as key to development.
