Himachal Students Shine at National Energy Conservation Awards 2024

Shimla, 15 December 2024: In a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh, Agaan Lalit Kumar and Rudransh Jindal from St. Edward’s School, Shimla, secured third prizes in Group A and Group B, respectively, at the National Level Painting Competition held during the National Energy Conservation Awards 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Hon’ble Vice President of India, Sh. Jagdeep Dhankhar, presented cash prizes of ₹30,000 each and laptops to the winners. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Sh. Shripad Yesso Naik, and Power Secretary, MoP, GoI, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal.

Additionally, SJVN received the ‘State Wise Nodal Officer Appreciation Certificate’ for its outstanding contribution to the National Campaign on Energy Conservation across Himachal Pradesh. The award was received by Sh. Anurag Bhardwaj, DGM (HR) and Nodal Officer of SJVN.

Since 2005, SJVN has played a vital role as the nodal agency for Himachal Pradesh, with over 2,10,000 students from 4,794 schools participating in this year’s campaign, showcasing exceptional creativity in promoting sustainable living and environmental responsibility.
