Himachal Ration Card Holders to Pay Higher Prices for Chana Dal
1 min readShimla, December 3: Ration card holders in Himachal Pradesh will now have to pay more for chana dal at fair price shops. The government has revised the rates, with APL consumers paying ₹65/kg (an increase of ₹17), BPL consumers paying ₹65/kg (up by ₹27), and taxpayers paying ₹69/kg (an increase of ₹13). Previously, the prices were ₹48, ₹38, and ₹56, respectively.
Supply of chana dal will resume in depots within a week, and orders for urad dal have also been placed. Rising market prices of pulses have been cited as the reason for the hike.
