Shimla, February 14 – The Himachal Pradesh Government has mandated the scientific disposal of e-waste through an Office Memorandum to align with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016. All government departments, boards, and corporations must dispose of e-waste only through authorized recyclers registered with HPSPCB or CPCB.
The government urges citizens and organizations to responsibly dispose of e-waste, avoid dumping it in open spaces, and spread awareness about proper recycling practices to protect the environment and public health.
