Shimla, January 15: The annual examination schedule for the 12th class, released by the School Education Board, has sparked demands for essential modifications. Lokendra Singh Negi, the state president of the Himachal Pradesh School Teachers’ Association, stated that the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has issued the timetable for the 10th and 12th board exams. This year, the 12th class board exams are scheduled to commence on March 2 and conclude on March 30.
However, the Education Board has urged all parents, students, stakeholders in educational activities, and teachers to submit their valuable suggestions and grievances regarding the issued schedule. The Board has announced that every class in the state can register their complaints until January 19.
The Himachal Pradesh School Teachers’ Association has also submitted its objections to the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board. The current schedule for the annual exams needs essential changes, especially considering that students in various subjects are continually appearing for exams. This has left them with insufficient time for revision.
Lokendra Singh Negi emphasized the need for necessary modifications in the dates of examinations for subjects such as English, History, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, and Political Science. A gap of one or two days between the exams for these subjects is essential to allow students sufficient time for revision. Negi expressed hope that the Board would consider these concerns and make the required adjustments to facilitate students in their preparation.
