Himachal Plans to impose GST on importing goods from other states

Shimla, July 15 – The state government is preparing to impose GST on bringing goods from outside states to Himachal. Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan has raised this matter in the GST Council meeting. This GST will be applicable on bringing more than 50 thousand goods. Due to this GST will increase from 50 crores to 100 crores.
The destination state will be written on the bill for bringing goods from outside states. The Law Committee of the Council has accepted this point. He said that the issue of 18 per cent GST on carton boxes of apples and other fruits was also raised. It was also said to be taken at 12 percent as before.
