The Himachal Pradesh government has notified an insurance scheme for regular, contractual, daily wage, and part-time employees. For an annual premium of Rs. 200, employees will receive insurance coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakh. The premium, last increased in 2020 from Rs. 80 to Rs. 200, remains unchanged. Deductions will be made from employees’ salaries in November.
