Himachal Govt Introduces New File Tracking System for Efficiency

1 min read

Shimla, Feb 12: The Himachal Pradesh government has revamped the file management system, making personal staff of administrative secretaries, department heads, deputy commissioners, and managing directors responsible for tracking pending files. The new system aims to streamline file management and enhance administrative efficiency.

Under this revised system, personal staff will collect information on pending files daily and ensure prompt action by senior officials. The Administrative Reforms Department has introduced this system in response to concerns over inefficient file tracking and disposal in various departments, directorates, boards, and corporations.

As per the notification issued by the Joint Secretary, personal staff will now inform the originating office about file clearance status and compile pending files at the end of each working day. If any crucial file remains unprocessed, they must immediately inform the concerned secretary to ensure timely action.

All departments and offices have been instructed to strictly implement this new system and prevent any negligence in handling important documents.
