Himachal Government Clarifies Questions on 45,000 Cr Relief Package
1 min readThe Principal Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan, responded to opposition leaders’ questions regarding the 45,000 crore relief package released by the state government in response to disaster relief. He suggested that prior to making any statements, Jairam Thakur should seek complete information about the relief package.
Chauhan emphasized that the government has made significant changes to the relief manual, with the intention of providing disaster relief to the public. He added that the central government has not provided any relief package. Thakur should also inform the state about the special assistance received from the central government.
The state government has released its own disaster relief package, and the Chief Minister will begin its distribution in Kullu district on October 21. Relief will be systematically provided to all affected individuals.
Chauhan characterized the opposition’s allegations of favoritism as unfounded and advised against politicizing the situation. He stressed that this disaster is not selective to any particular political party, and the government is making efforts to assist all affected individuals. This is a time for helping people, not for political maneuvers.
