Himachal Girls Enter Quarterfinals in U-19 Badminton at National School Games

Hamirpur | January 31, 2026: The Himachal Pradesh girls’ badminton team delivered an impressive performance at the ongoing Under-19 National School Games being held in New Delhi. By topping their pool, the team secured a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The Himachal team defeated Madhya Pradesh 2-0, Indian Board of School Organization 2-1, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan 2-1, and later overcame Chandigarh 2-1 in the pre-quarterfinals. In the quarterfinal clash, Himachal will face Tamil Nadu.
Players Pragya Verma and Garima Verma stood out with exceptional performances throughout the matches. Meanwhile, the boys’ team also made a strong start by defeating Odisha and Chhattisgarh in their initial encounters to progress to the next round.
