Shimla, Mar 12 – The High Court has taken a strong stand against the institute for conducting educational courses contrary to the rules. The court has ordered the institute to deposit Rs 21.46 lakh as fine. A division bench of Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Virendra Singh made it clear that the case would be taken up only after depositing the fine amount. In compliance of the orders of the High Court, the State Private Education Regulatory Commission had taken cognizance of conducting courses contrary to NCTE rules.
The Commission had imposed a fine of Rs 21.46 lakh on the NCFSC Institute of Punjab for conducting NTT courses contrary to the rules. Along with this, the Director of Elementary Education was ordered to register an FIR against the institute. These orders of the Commission have been challenged by the Institute before the High Court. It has been contended in the petition that the Commission has passed a judgment contrary to the facts. At the same time, the advocate appearing for the State Private Education Regulatory Commission argued that the decision of the Commission is based on facts.
