Himachal – Entry Fee Increased Five Times For Other State Vehicles

Shimla, Mar 10 – In Himachal Pradesh, the entry fee for vehicles with numbers from outside states has increased from Rs 10 to Rs 50. Sukhu Government has notified 24-hour entry fee to be charged from different categories of vehicles at toll barriers for the financial year 2023-24. New rates will be applicable in the state from April 1, 2023. Heavy goods vehicles will now have to pay Rs 500 instead of Rs 450.

6 to 12 seater passenger vehicles will have to pay Rs 80 and more than 12 seats will have to pay Rs 140. Private vehicle drivers will now have to pay a fee of Rs 50 instead of Rs 40. The Tax and Excise Department has fixed the rates of entry fee for 55 toll barriers coming under the state. The category of goods vehicles has been changed this time. Earlier there was only one category of vehicles carrying more than 120 quintals.

Now it has been classified into a new category and a new category of 250 quintals or more has been made. Now these vehicles will have to pay a fee of Rs 600 to enter the state. This fee will also be charged from these vehicles registered in Himachal Pradesh along with heavy goods vehicles with numbers from outside states. Goods vehicles of the state have not been exempted from the entry fee. Quarterly and annual passes will be made for the financial year 2023-24 only on the basis of fixed entry fee.

  1. as far as other vehicle using petrol, deisel, cng are ok, should pay the entry tax…
    but what about ev vehicle, the eve vehicle should be exempted from the entry tax…

  2. Does bonafide himachali too has to pay entry tax everytime, while visiting home but serving outside himachal
