Himachal Day Celebrations to be Held at Ridge

Shimla, April 3, 2025 – The district-level Himachal Day celebrations will be held with great enthusiasm at the historic Ridge Ground on April 15, 2025. Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, shared this information while presiding over a meeting regarding the event preparations.

The celebrations will feature an impressive parade, including contingents from Shimla Police, Traffic Police, Home Guards, NSS, Scouts & Guides, SDRF, and the Indian Police Reserve Battalion, along with disaster response volunteers. The parade rehearsals will commence on April 11, 2025. Additionally, cultural programs will be performed by students from various schools.

Kashyap instructed officials to ensure timely distribution of invitations, proper seating arrangements, cleanliness, and attractive decorations at the venue. He also emphasized inter-departmental coordination for the successful execution of the event.

The meeting was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Gopal Chand Sharma and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma, SDM (Shimla Rural) Kavita Thakur, SDM (Shimla Urban) Bhanu Gupta, District Language Officer Anil Harta, and other officials.
