Shimla Oct 31

The Language and Culture Department of Himachal Pradesh continues its efforts toward the preservation and promotion of literature, art, and cultural heritage in the state. The department publishes two prestigious magazines — the bi-monthly Hindi magazine Vipasha and the quarterly Urdu magazine Jadeed Fikr-o-Fun — providing an important literary platform for established and emerging writers from across India.

Both magazines feature high-quality content, including research articles, poetry, stories, reviews and writings based on folk culture in Vipasha, while Jadeed Fikr-o-Fun publishes essays, short stories, critiques, nazms, ghazals, and translations. These publications serve as a vital link connecting Himachal’s literary identity with the national cultural landscape.

Writers are invited to submit their original writings to the Director, Department of Language and Culture, Shimla-9 for publication consideration.
