BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal has expressed grave concerns over the functioning of the Congress-led state government in Himachal Pradesh, following the Himachal Pradesh High Court’s directive to attach the assets of Himachal Bhawan in Delhi due to non-payment of dues. Dr. Bindal stated that in the 22-23 months of its tenure, the Congress government has set new “records” of governance failures, with this attachment order serving as a significant blot on the state government and its people.

Dr. Bindal emphasized that such a situation, where the High Court had to intervene and issue orders for payment, is unprecedented in Himachal Pradesh’s history. He accused the Sukhu government of incompetence, leading to this shameful episode.

He also raised questions on the government’s decision-making, alleging that the administration has consistently prioritized actions contrary to public welfare. He highlighted the closure of around 1,500 institutions, including schools, colleges, and primary health centers, causing distress to the public. Bindal criticized the government’s erratic policies, such as the controversial samosa probe and directives related to toilet tax. He asserted that the two-year tenure of the Congress government has been marked by inefficiency, economic mismanagement, and decisions that have deeply hurt the public and tarnished Himachal Pradesh’s reputation.

Bindal concluded by stating that the High Court’s order is a black mark on the government’s track record, urging the administration to reflect on its failures and take corrective measures to address the state’s deteriorating situation.
