Himachal and Punjab Taxi Union delegations call on Deputy Chief Ministe

The delegations of the Himachal and Punjab Taxi Operator Unions, led by Presidents Ajay Thakur and Keval Krishan, met with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today and discuss various pressing issues and demands faced by the unions.
During the meeting, they highlighted the ongoing rift between the taxi unions of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and urged for immediate resolution to maintain harmony among taxi operators in both states. He also urged the Deputy Chief Minister to consider providing relief from the taxes imposed on tourist vehicles and to ensure the provision of necessary facilities and safety measures for taxi operators.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the concerns and demands presented by the delegation. He emphasized the importance of maintaining brotherhood among taxi operators and assured that the government is committed to supporting the taxi industry and improving the working conditions for operators. He also assured the union that their genuine demands would be addressed on priority and steps would be taken to resolve the issues swiftly.
