Himachal: 302 Roads Blocked, Power and Water Supply Hit

Shimla, July 31, 2025 – Continuous rainfall across several parts of Himachal Pradesh has severely disrupted normal life. Landslides and flash floods triggered by the monsoon have affected road connectivity and essential services.
As of 10:00 AM Thursday, 302 roads, including one National Highway, remain blocked. A total of 436 electricity transformers and 254 water supply schemes are also impacted. Mandi district is the worst-hit with 193 roads still closed. Kullu and Chamba are grappling with 134 and 142 power transformers disrupted, respectively. In Kangra district, 134 water supply schemes are affected in Dharamshala and Nurpur subdivisions.
Authorities are working round the clock to restore connectivity and essential services in the affected areas.
