High Tech Hospitals with modern facilities to be established in each Medical Block: CM
2 min readShimla, Feb 15 – The State Government will provide world class health care facilities to the people of the State at their door steps and High Tech Hospitals with all modern facilities would be established in each Medical Block. This was stated by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while reviewing the working of the Health Department here today.
These hospitals will have the capacity of 50-100 beds and have specialist doctors with adequate para-medical staff and high diagnostic labs, he said adding that strengthening of block level hospitals would pave a way to provide specialized medical care to the patients.
The 50 bedded critical care Blocks would be set up in government medical colleges alongwith the hospitals at Dharamshala, Kinnaur, Bilaspur, Una, Solan, Manali, Kullu and Mandi, said the Chief Minister. Adequate staff strength with specialized doctors, allied health professionals and supporting staff would be deployed in these health institutions to provide best emergency health care facilities to the patients, he added.
The State Government is committed to introduce modern technology in the health sector and five specialist robotic surgery facilities would be started in government medical colleges at Hamirpur, Tanda (Kangra), IGMC Shimla and Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialties Chamiyana, reiterated Sh. Sukhu. Medical college Chamba, Nahan and Ner Chowk would have one robotic surgery facility in the first phase, said the Chief Minister adding that 5G technology would be introduced for providing modern technology health care facilities. He said that there would be no shortage of funds for the health sector.
The construction work of Hostels and Type-IV residences of Chamba Medical College would be completed by April, 2023 while the construction works of Hospital Block by July, 2023, he said.
