High Court : Illegal Occupations Cleared in Kasauli Cantonment Area
1 min readShimla, Sept 6 – Following the intervention of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, illegal encroachments in the Kasauli Cantonment area have been removed. The region, where unauthorized shops had been constructed, has been cleared, and the land has been handed over to the military authorities. This information was provided to the court by the central government.
Justices Vivek Singh Thakur and B.C. Negi of the High Court dismissed the public interest petition after it highlighted encroachments in the Pine Mall of Kasauli. The petitioner alleged that 21 unauthorized shops had been constructed in this area. However, any construction on this land is not permitted as it falls under the jurisdiction of the Indian Army. It was deemed essential to remove these encroachments in the interest of the Indian Army. Orders were also issued to immediately demolish the 21 shops.
