Bharmaur subdivision has witnessed disrupted daily life over the past two days due to continuous heavy rainfall. Various routes in Bharmaur subdivision, including Bharmaur Hadser, Kugti, Chaubiya, Greema, Siyur, Ulansa, Pili Swai, Trela, Tund, Chanhot, Heeling, and Nyagram roads, remained obstructed due to landslides. Although the departmental machinery cleared some routes after Sunday afternoon, the Khadarmukh-Holi and Tundaha-Banni Mata roads are still closed due to heavy landslides.

March typically experiences heavy rainfall, resulting in the closure of main routes and contact routes every year during this month. The Khadarmukh-Holi route near Dunda Pul has been closed due to continuous landslides for the past month. Large debris has fallen onto the road, which JSW Company and departmental machinery are working to clear.

Landslides are a frequent occurrence in this area, and this is the fourth time in a year that such an incident has taken place. As a result, large chunks of rocks have fallen onto the road, which are often cleared by the company working on the Kathed Hydroelectric Project in collaboration with the Public Works Department. Similarly, travelers faced significant difficulties due to the closure of the Chamba-Bharmaur route in Dhakog, Durgethi, Bagga, and Choodi. Long queues of vehicles were witnessed on both sides, with many drivers having to park their vehicles midway and continue their journey home. Several travelers had to carry their belongings on their backs to proceed further. In many places, there was no way left for people to travel on foot.

SDO Bhal Chand Thakur of the Public Works Department, Subdivision Garola, stated that due to heavy landslides, the route has been closed, and machinery has been deployed to reopen it. It will be made accessible to vehicles by the evening for vehicular movement.
