Heavy Rain Triggers Closure of All Educational Institutions in Shimla on Sept 3

Shimla, Sept 3 – In view of continuous heavy rainfall, landslides, tree falls, road blockages, power disruptions, and water supply issues, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Shimla has ordered the closure of all Government and Private educational institutions including schools, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics, anganwadis, coaching and nursing institutes on September 3, 2025. The decision, issued by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap (IAS), has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students.
