Healthy Women Key to Strong Families and Society: R.S. Bali

Nagrota Bagwan, September 27 – Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice Chairman of Tourism Development Board (Cabinet Rank), as well as MLA from Nagrota Bagwan, R.S. Bali, inaugurated a special health camp today at the Civil Hospital, Nagrota Bagwan, under the nationwide campaign “Healthy Women – Empowered Families.” The campaign is being organized from September 17 to October 2, 2025.

Speaking on the occasion, Bali emphasized that the foundation of a healthy family and a strong society lies in women’s health. “For empowerment, it is first essential to be healthy,” he remarked.

The camp aims to provide women with health, nutrition, and hygiene-related services. Facilities include gynecology and maternity care, nutrition counseling, adolescent health awareness, free medical tests, and distribution of medicines. Additionally, TB screening, Nikshay Mitra registration under the Mera Bharat campaign, ABHA ID and Ayushman card generation, as well as sugar and blood pressure tests, were conducted.

Later, Bali also heard public grievances at the Jal Shakti Department’s Rest House in Nagrota Bagwan, where he resolved most issues on the spot and directed officials to address the remaining concerns promptly.
