Health Services in Himachal in Crisis, Reliant on Centre: Rakesh Jamwal

1 min read

Shimla, Aug 27: Raising concerns in the Assembly, Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal accused the Congress government of failing to deliver on health promises, leaving people struggling even for basic treatment. He said the Himcare and Sahara schemes have collapsed, dialysis units are shut, and PET Scan facilities remain unavailable despite repeated announcements. Jamwal highlighted that AIIMS Bilaspur, set up with central efforts, is the only relief for patients. He alleged shortage of doctors and paramedical staff, especially in Sundernagar Hospital, where essential services like ultrasound are non-functional. Jamwal urged the state to immediately restore schemes, clear dues, and fill vacancies to provide relief to the public.
