Shimla, May 24: BJP MLA from Bharmour, Dr. Janak Raj, held a press conference in which he revealed that he has approached the Himachal Pradesh High Court over the deteriorating health services in his constituency. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for May 28. Dr. Raj stated that despite raising the issue in the Assembly, through media and social media, and receiving assurances from both the Health Minister and the Speaker, no concrete steps were taken, compelling him to seek legal recourse.
He criticized the state government for ignoring Bharmour’s developmental needs, saying that development has come to a standstill. He invited the media to visit his constituency and witness firsthand the lack of basic public amenities. Key health centres in Bharmour, Holi, Khilwar, Chauri, Mandal, Jagat, and Gairola are without a single doctor, with only two doctors serving the entire constituency. Most posts in other departments also lie vacant, he added.

Dr. Raj strongly criticised the Chief Minister’s visit to Bharmour, calling it a complete failure. He alleged that none of the promises made by the CM during the visit have materialized on the ground. “The Chief Minister is deceiving the people with false promises and misleading announcements,” said Janak, adding that no administrative files have moved forward on any of the CM’s announcements.

He also accused government officials of neglecting Bharmour, citing lack of road work, water supply development, and other essential services. He claimed that officials appear to be working under political pressure from the ruling Congress, but stressed that the BJP is committed to improving the condition of remote areas like Bharmour.
