Haryana CM Sends ₹5 Crore Relief to Himachal, Along with Essential Supplies

Shimla, Sept 8: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has transferred ₹5 crore from the Haryana Chief Minister Relief Fund to Himachal Pradesh to aid people affected by heavy rains. In his letter to HP CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Saini expressed solidarity with the efforts of the Himachal government to provide timely assistance to flood-affected residents. He assured that any additional relief material required could be coordinated through the respective Chief Secretaries.

According to BJP state media coordinator, donors from Panchkula, Ambala, and nearby areas collected relief materials which were sent under the supervision of CM Saini. The consignment includes 186 quintals of rice, 153 quintals of flour, 20 quintals of salt, 65 quintals of sugar, 20 quintals of pulses, 25 kg turmeric, 750 kg spices, 2,400 liters of cooking oil, 50 kg tea, 1,000 tarpaulins, 1,021 blankets, 1,500 mattresses, 2,600 soaps, 1,200 biscuit packets, 650 sanitary pads, utensils, toothpaste, water, Maggi, oats, and other essential items.

The ten-truck relief consignment was flagged off from the Panchkula BJP office and will be distributed to affected families in Chamba district as per their needs.
