Panic gripped residents of Bahal village on the border of Maharal and Samaila panchayats in Hamirpur district when a massive Indian rock python was found in the bathroom of local resident Shali Ram’s house. The family immediately informed forest officials and snake rescue expert Yashveer Patial, a former Indian Army soldier. Yashveer reached the spot within five minutes and safely captured the 8-foot python, later releasing it into a nearby forest.
Yashveer urged people not to harm snakes, emphasizing their ecological importance. He has rescued thousands of snakes to date. Forest officials Vinod Kumar and Abhay Sharma were also present and advised the public to call trained rescuers during such incidents to ensure safety for both humans and wildlife.
